Frequently
Asked Questions
This
area of the website answers some of the most common questions
we are asked. Please email or call us if you have questions that
are not answered here.
Why should
I pay to have my wedding videotaped?
Only video will allow
everyone to relive your wedding day as it actually happened-to
see you walk down the aisle, to hear your voices as you exchange
vows and rings, to hear and see the toasts, the music, your first
dance at the reception...and the chance to preserve the complete
story of your wedding.
You have one chance to be sure
your wedding day is professionally captured.... one chance
to be sure all of the emotions, the love and laughter, are preserved
for you to share again and again. shuandi Productions invites your
participation and input in the creation and design of your digital
video, and we are confident that you will be satisfied with the
final product.
Why choose shuandi Productions over another videographer?
Most videographers use consumer grade equipment- single chip cameras and basic editing hardware and software. shuandi Productions uses top of the line camera's (all broadcast quality 3-chip) and we've invested in a state-of-the-art post production studio including Mac G5's, PowerMac G4's, Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. We also use a network of wireless mics that will pick up everything clearly. We do this professionally and it shows!
We encourage you to compare our final work to that of any other studio! We know you'll see the shuandi difference!
Can I choose the background
music for our video?
Yes! When you sign up with shuandi Productions, you'll know right away that you're going to be taken care of. We provide you with a packet of information including things that you can expect from us and things that we'll need from you. Included in your packet, you'll find a list of songs you can choose from, or you can suggest your own.
I’m concerned the cameramen might
get in the way.
No fears mate. We recognize that this is your special day. The last thing
we want to do is make you and your guests feel in any way uncomfortable.
We are experts at being discrete, in fact you will hardly notice
us during the day; as it should be with any good videographer. We document
the events rather than directing them.
How long will the completed video
run?
Our
philosophy is to work on the basis of quality, rather than quantity.
As each wedding is different, it is impossible to provide an exact
length of the final film. As a guide, expect about 45 minutes
to an hour, sometimes more. Remember, we will capture and edit
the entire day in a way that will hold your interest throughout.
With a sensible length production, it is easier to show repeatedly
to friends and family.
When will the finished
video be delivered to us?
We know you will be excited to
see the completed video, but it is a complex and lengthy process
to produce the finished film. The editing is where the magic really
happens to create your special video and we like to spend the
necessary time in getting it right. We aim to deliver your video
within 9 to 12 weeks of the wedding. As we complete different portions of the video, we try to post sections on the website so you, and your family, can get a sneak peak!
Can you recommend Photographers, Reception Sites, Florists, and other services?
When we come across a good DJ, Photographer, or someone else who does excellent work in the wedding inustry, we like to pass their names along. We appreciate the importance of your big day; just as a good Videographer can make or break your wedding and wedding video, so can a DJ, Photographer, Caterer and Florist! We're developing a portion of the website to post our recommendations. In the meantime you're welcome to contact us HERE and we'd be happy to pass our recommendations along! |
